i didnt feel halo2 was over hyped, i was actually very happy with it. tough they failed miserably with 3. gta is unique yes, but it has been basically the same untill now(hopefully) they change the graphics abit, made a slightly different storyline, maybe some new weapons. i am not saying i didnt like them, just that they are to similar.

They all have different maps, storys, characters, guns, cars, bikes, boats, planes, helicopters, side missions, rampages, packages, mini games, FREEROAM.

The only thing similar about them is the fact that you can just do what you want instead of the missions.

Actually The Godfather AND Just Cause AND Saints Row are all identical in gameplay/weapons/free-roamability to the GTA series. Although I do admit that Just Cause is WAY too easy to win and that The Godfather isn't exactly in the right time period for aircraft although extortion makes up for that.

I downloaded the GTA4 box art revealing video and I think that from that, it isn't going to be revolutionary, there is nothing there special and simply calling it GTA4 instead of 6 (Vice City and San Andreas) is backtracking to try to get people to keep playing the same game over and over.

Then again, its better to underestimate a game and be happy when its awesome than to overestimate a game and its just not up to scratch. (Halo3)

Just cause and The Godfarther are really poor games, the godfarther has bad graphics but the gameplay is fun. Just cause is just.. really bad and Saints row is goodish.. crap story. Compare them all and you'll easyily see GTA stands out much more, it has tons of stuff you can do.

It's also in NY just like GTA3 but! It's far more realistic, that's what they've changed. It actually looks like new york. It also has tons of new features to go with the whole realistic feature.

The police for example, don't know where you are unless someone has seen you, so they'll patrol the last area you were seen and they have little 'Sights' displayed on the radar, so you know where they're looking.

That's just the tip of the ice burg. I don't understand how you can underestimate it at all, on release you'll be like 'Damn, I was wrong'.

I love the godfather, its one of the better games ... I was about to say I own but i'm borrowing 13 of my 16 games off my brother... but its still great.

Thats what i'm hoping for. I wanted to love Halo3 but it never happened.

Its like with Half-life. I never liked original half-life so I went the last 7 years pretending to hate it, then The Orange Box looked like a deal too good to miss and now I LOVE the game (and Portals rocks!)

Halo really isn't anything original though, it's also a pretty below average FPS.. I don't see what the fuss is about. I also own the Godfarther, it's decent but such a shame about the graphics.

Its a game I want to hate for the sake of liking it later.
