I never really notice it till something happens then the noise seems becomes hearable lol, I think I just block it out when I'm shottin' someone on gow.

I have my 360 upstairs and when some else is playing on it and I'm down stairs I can even hear it down there

Hmm Im not sure its worth the HD space. It would be nice but only if i had plenty of space.
Can you install any harddrives in the xbox or do they have to be formatted or something.

Any with a form factor of 2.5 I THINK, I'm 100% sure for the ps3 but not on the 360.

Agree. The PS3 ver took 3.5GB off you and I think the 360 ver of GTA IV loads quicker without any install.
