Gamespy has a ton of screenshots and concept art. It's actually looking really good so far even if it looks a lot better in motion (which nearly every game does.) Most of these we've already seen in scans here but these are obviously better quality.

In a way I was but what I meant was that originally I was thinking that GOW2 would only look marginally better than the 1st but when I first saw the screens I was pleasantly surprised.

..IDC if it can have 60 players per game, gow = best third person shooter ever.

That's just the fanboys talking. R2 is gonna be amazing but I doubt it'd win a popularity vote against GoW2.

July 14, 2008 - Epic Games has announced a November 7, 2008 release date for Gears of War 2 at Microsoft's E3 press conference after showing an on-stage video demonstration for it. The game is coming exclusive to the Xbox 360 with a new 5-player co-op mode called the horde mode, which will allow players to take on wave after wave of locusts together.
