No spring update

Well if you haven't heard already there wont be the expected Spring update alot of us were waiting for. They will be fixing other issues first.

In this exclusive interview with general manager of Xbox Live Marc Whitten, Next-Gen gets all the first details on big changes to the service—including that there will be no spring dashboard update, and that underperforming XBLA titles will be removed.

Most people knew there wouldn't be a 'Spring Update' like last year. However, there is still an update (even if it runs into summer). They are doing plenty of updates on the backend which is great, so although it isn't like last year; we are still technically getting a Spring Update. They did that maintenance not that long ago before GTA IV was released, etc.

I'm pretty sure that update was to prepare for GTAIV's release, just like they did before Halo 3 was released.

Shame, cause I think we need a little update.

It had to do with GTA IV but I doubt that was the only reason. They can't bring the service down that often so they work on fixes, etc and they just get put to the side (those that need the service brought down) and then when they get the chance, GTA IV Release in this case, they put up all the fixes they have been working on. Either way they did updates to the service. It wasn't a 'Dashboard' update as before but they did two huge updates last year a Spring and Fall (Winter actually). I didn't think and never expected them to release another big update like that so soon. We may not even get a Dashboard update this fall.

what? that doesnt make sense. Online for GTA isnt my favorite I've only played a couple games and it wasn't anything I'd be excited to do again. I love playing GTA for its story not online. I got gears, COD, and halo for multiplayer games.

Freeroam on xbl with good friends and it becomes hilarious.

I love the MP modes on GTA IV. In fact that is basically all I do which means I doubt I'll ever finish single player as it just didn't do much for me, but no single player really does. Freeroam with friends is awesome though.
