Does anyone NOT call it a Wiimote?

It just fits and I think that Nintendo should call it that too.

I don't call it a Wiimote. I normally call it a remote or just say the Wii Remote. Saying 'Wiimote' just sounds like baby talk. When packaging items though they normally have them say the system and then what it is called. So, for example it would say the Wii Wiimote (some parents believe it or not would not get that a wiimote is for the Wii). Trust me, I know a few people who would make this mistake.

You could put the stress on the first syllable and it sounds better. WIImote rather than wiiMOTE

Yeah, you could but it is just easier for me to say Wii Remote. I'm personally glad Nintendo didn't go the wiimote way. Sometimes I type wiimote though as it is quicker and in talk it just doesn't sound right.

I think of it as a Wiimote, but do not call it such.
If I did, it would sound extremely nerdy in an otherwise dutch sentence.

I usually just call it "that thing". Grab "that thing", you have to hold "that thing" like so, etc. (No sexual innuendo intended)
