My router stops working.

So my router stops working and goes into a mode which gives me an error that says it has limited activity. Happens at least every other day. I get no internet even though it says limited. We noticed it happens when some one in the house turns there laptop off. but also for no reason sometimes. i just have to turn it off and on and it works but it's such a pain.

I get this at occasional times also very much a pain, i dont turn it off and on again i just leave it and wait. Sometimes it comes back sometimes it only comes back to local other times it will stay like it for ages even with turning of and on the router. Wireless routers suck but are great at the same time.

Mine never goes down but I'm using ethernet

Although I've not had a problem with connecting my laptop wirelessly yet.

Ethernet would be a bit faster to use too, also less problems.

It could be your router or your ISP. The best bet would be to get a new router and see if it improves. If this doesn't help then it could be your ISP. I use wireless for 5 systems in my house and haven't had this happen at all.

I think I'm gunna try a friends router for a day and give him ours and see if it happens to either of us.
