Metal Gear Solid Online - Beta

I knew anyhoo's - but forgot to post it yesterday. In the EU/PAL regions PSN users are given the chance to download the beta trial of MGS. Not too fussed myself If I am honest, but at least I started the download yesterday....was going slow mind!

At 741MB - it at least seems weighty for just 2 maps - but its free so I'm sure no one will argue. The beta starts Monday. No Konami keys needed???? not 100% sure

You can now be a part of Konami's Metal Gear Online beta launch through PSN, giving you the first taste of the stealth slanted spin-off. As the next chapter in the legendary series, MGO allows you to battle in an online world set in the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots universe, where up to 16 players can compete and utilise a number of online specific features such as customising skill sets, using the SOP (Sons Of the Patriots) System which allows you to locate your teammates and other capabilities, and more.

Live and online from April 21 to May 6, the beta trial features two maps and four gameplay modes. The full game will be included with Metal Gear Solid 4 in its summer 2008 release. Download the beta now and experience Metal Gear in a brand new and oh-so sneaky way..

Currently attempting to download this 10% so far but seems to be going rather slow. Hopefully will be good, never really got into MGS before but this may change me we'll wait and see.

Now I have enjoyed MGS's - but can't be arsed for online. Apparently, you need a Konami key aswell and with that many people wanting one the system is going sssssssssssssllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooowwwwww ww.

Mine was on 10% - think i'll just cancel it - I ain't got time to play it anyhoo's

Picking up the ps3 when this game is out, not sure how online is going to work.

If it is anything like the old MGS online, probably will work like you are controlling a drunk dog or something. Still was awesome

Yeah lol old MGS online was seriously horrible. I just wish the game still looked as good as it did in the first videos. New screens look shit compared to those vids to be honest. Not that I'm interested in the game away.

What old metal gear solid online? I've played all 4(substance).. none had online.

I've seen the game in action on the ps3(some tech demo, like 30min long), it looks amazing imo. Oh apart from snakes ass, me and max couldn't beleive it.

Yeah the screens still look shit. I'd find one, but could give a fuck. There was one on Kotaku. It looked ok, just not even par with gears.

Oh, well PS2 was deceased after I completed MGS3. I actually didn't game at all then, then cdr told me to buy a 360 and I got back into it then.

I'm not even bothered about graphics they're way above average, even though they're not a nessesity(Godfather was shit, but still was fun).

Yeah I don't like the game because I didn't like all the other MGS. Just think it's weak how every game from sony looks shitter once release day gets closer.
