Whos going to purchase a PS3 this year?

I'm wondering who'll be getting a playstation 3 this year? I'd like to wait for the MGS4 bundle but I think I'll order mine before then.

Anyone else making plans for picking one up this year? A lot of people are going crazy for the GTAIV bundle and I think the same will happen with the MGS4 bundle.

Well if enough of my friends get a PS3 I may just get one instead of a 360 lol.

I really don't know. I'm pretty sure I'll get a 360 or a PS3 eventually, but which will it be?
But before all that, I also need to save money for a HDTV. Then there's ongoing expenses surrounding my study, and then there's CDs games and movies, then there's crazy weekends where I party and money disappears - and I also want to move out of the house sooner or later.


In other words, it'll be a looong time before I buy a "nextgen" console. By that time I'll have made up my mind on which console to buy, and the prices will have dropped.

I'm definately leaning more towards the PS3 though. X360 has tried, but hasn't won the Japanese market over. I couldn't care less for all those shooters. Quirky games are more interesting to me.

I'm not big into the japanese games apart from some RPG's, but I don't know... rumours say KH3 is also on the 360. Therefor maybe FF will be aswell? Either way I'm getting a ps3.

I plan on paying it monthly too, so it's less depressing.

I plan to purchase a Blu-Ray player this year and it happens to be a PS3. So, I'm more in the "I have a Blu-Ray player that could play games if needed" boat. Not sure if I will be getting any games as I much prefer Xbox Live.

Believe it or not I don't really care for MGS or GTA. Yes, I know, I must be in the wrong place.

Nah MGS is total shit. GTA is sex tho.

I will buy one for Heavy Rain only, if it doesn't go 360. As for my hd movie needs, I have other ways to get them.

I'm not big on the whole new level of dvd quality, although I was amazed today buy a HD-Dvd on some huge ass TV. It looked intense! I think though I'd rather have a bigger tv(32inch) than the ps3, it's just there's no room.
