This game is being developed by QuanticDream, the same people who created "Indigo Prophecy" (US title) or "Fahrenheit" (EU title). I really enjoyed the game (one of my all time favorites), so I'm glad they are making another one similar to it.

Indigo Prophecy was sort of a interactive storytelling kind of game. Not in the sense that it's just one long cutscene, far from it. What I mean is you get to control everything that happens in the storyline of the game. With literally fifty some endings, you control the fate of all the characters. You also play as different characters and see the story from all sides.

Example : You commit a crime, have to try to hide what you've done as the criminal, and then escape. Then you come back at the detective, and try to solve what happened.

A very story driven game. If you haven't played it, you should.

Anyway, to the point of the topic. Heavy Rain is said to be along the same style as Indigo Prophecy. Only with more options, endings, choices, etc. The story and characters still being the main focus of the game. Along with more freedom, and choice.

They have released a demo video entitled, "The Casting". It shows a woman acting as if she was auditioning for the part of "Mary", who is said to be one of the main characters in the game.

The woman in the video is a actual actress and looks insanely like the in-game person. The video itself is amazing. Acting is realistic, dramatic, and even Hollywood worthy if you ask me. By just seeing this video, you can tell how well they can portray character emotion.

One flaw would be her mouth. It looks like it could use some work. But keep in mind the video was made almost two years ago, so it more than likely looks loads better now.

Anyway, I'm pretty hyped for this game, and as of right now, it is the only thing the Ps3 has to offer me. If it stays a Ps3 exclusive, I will buy a one on release day.

Well thats fucking dumb. I mean the youtube one makes sense. Gametrailer's flash always fucks up, and I hate having the page title for links. But whatever.

@ the game. It just seems they put more effort into the acting of the characters than other games. And the graphics look amazing, especially for being 2 years old. I want them to release a update video.

Maybe you have to play/like indigo to be hyped for this. A few of my friends that played it are just as hyped for Heavy Rain as me.

@ Pico, yeah I really loved Indigo/Fahrenheit. But storyline driven games are always my favorites. (Shenmue, Half-Life, Mafia.)

And I just wish you could edit what the url text would be. Like the auto for just posting a link would be fine. But when you edit the "[ URL ]" of it, customs should be allowed.
