Final Fantasy XIII demo to be over 90 minutes long

The latest issue of Famitsu PS3 is all about the recent Square Enix DKΣ3713 event, and FinalFantasyXIII.net has a few juicy scans from the magazine. One of the more interesting things to point about the upcoming FFXIII demo bundled with Advent Children Complete: the demo will be on a separate Blu-ray disc (meaning it will unlikely be region locked), and the amount of gameplay is promised to be longer than the length of Advent Children. That means the FFXIII demo should be at least 90 minutes long, if not longer. That's huge! The demo will supposedly come from the very beginning of the game, so players won't have to worry about spoiling the later parts of the game.

Wow, that is one long ass demo, this game isn't come out this year is it?

I don't think it will be downloadable anywhere, only with magazines/other titles.

Is there any Square Enix titles due for the 360 soon, other than Infinite Undiscovery (which BTW I have just pre-ordered of GAME for £29.99 with Bonus Items)

360 has more RPG's coming to it than the ps3 unfortunetly.

And there's no way I'm buying Advent Children again for this demo. No thx. Maybe it'll be released on PSN/Live sometime afterward?

Gotta say though, 360 is getting a bunch of JRPs soon but they aren't exactly AAA titles. Infinite Undiscovery looks like shit... a quickly made generic cash in. The Last Remnant looks better, though, I have hope for that one. Then there is Tales (Vesparia for 360, a rumored one for PS3 later), but meh, I've never much liked anime styled JRPGs. (with the exception of Persona series) Besides Star Ocean 4, and White Knight Chronicles, (and potentionally The Last Remnant) both the PS3's and 360's JRPG lineup doesn't look too hot. (FFXIII is so far off I'm not even counting it.) I guess I'm just spoiled from last gen where there so many quality JRPGs I'm STILL playing through many of them (finishing up Dragon Quest VIII and starting Persona 3 FES soon).

Oh well, at least I'll be able to get my srpg fix with Valkyria Chronicles and Disgaea 3 while I wait for The Last Remnant to come out.

I think we're in the same boat, hell.. most rpg fans would agree. The best next gen rpg is lost oddsy at the moment but ps1/ps2 eras, UNTOUCHABLE.
