2.41 Update

Went on ps3 just about 5 mins ago to realise that 2.41 has been released, which is all good for me as i didn't get a chance to get 2.4.

Ah I heard a rumour of this, is it just 2.4 fixed or does it have an extra feature? I downloaded it perfectly fine the first time.

Seems exactly as 2.4 was ment to be just working. Thank god for in game messaging, today has been the first day i actually played a mgs online game with a friend.

The fact that in-game XMB wasn't present at release is frankly criminal. It was impossible to do anything while playing a game.

Yeah, it's still lacking a little when comparing to the 360 but it's way better. Getting into a game with nyle was a little annoying(before the update).

Just re-updated (3-4 hours it took).

It was stupid but at least they've done it now. I used it for the first time last night on GTA4. Actually very impressed, work very well.

Yes it does, and it feels a hell of a lot more robust than the Xbox 360 Guide - that thing is so slow and buggy.

As for your huge download times, Leon, try downloading the firmware to your PC from the PlayStation website, then updating your console by copying the firmware onto removable storage.

Lol, the guide is far from slow and buggy... maybe a year ago lol.

Also, I've noticed the PS3 downloads never go to 100%, when they hit about 60% they finsih(firmware updates). I just downloaded heavens sword or something.. 900MB for a 4min demo!! WTF.
