I just found out you need to be a subscribing member ($5 a month I think), maybe its just in beta? Anyway, I thought the game was fun back then, try it out.

I tried it for 5 minutes and got bored after I chopped down a tree to get wood only to see it grow back 2 seconds later.

I got my membership back because of the update, and I find it even more fun now that the graphics are more visually pleasing and that I can talk to old gamer friends who have stayed loyal to Runescape over the years.

Son it still has like 1,000,000 subscribers.... they get like 5Million a month.

+ they still got a ton of people who play for free (adverts).

free is fine for beginners but with like 20 odd quests and the same 4 towns your better off becoming a member when you get to a higher level.
