Pico is right, it doesn't alter your computer unless your running a machine with very very low specs. I'm talking about the old IBM that grandma and grandpa Jones have with their exotic fish background and AOL internet browser along with a 5 gb harddrive made in 1997.

Please, it does download stuff, it has the whole binary for Java to interpret.
Not sure for windows, something like C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data
It's somewhere in there.
