I don't think that's the reason people don't like them, it's the price tag.

A lot of people think that the hardware in a mac just isn't very good. But that isn't true. For example mine has a 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 4GB of DDR2 Ram, 500GB HDD, ATI Radeon HD2600, etc. It isn't the best of the best compared to high end PC gaming machines but it also isn't crap. Granted for mine I did pay a total of $2,300 for it which is a lot compared to the $1,200 I spent on my PC 2-3 years ago but for the hardware, the amazing 24" screen, OS X, and all the great apps that come with it including Time Machine which is great I think the price tag was perfect. There are cheaper versions with the Mac Mini (which I'm buying my son for Christmas) and the MacBook.

First announced on May 19, 2007, in Seoul, South Korea, StarCraft II is being developed for concurrent release on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Mac OS X.

This is great news since I was a fan of the 1st one which is also Mac compatible if I'm not mistaken (you need the Retail version to play Brood Wars as well.)

Mine's pretty much the same exact thing except mine has a 2.16 Ghz Intel Core Duo CPU and 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.

I just don't like macs cause of the game problem, but mainly because its not "the norm" its very odd to be considering I have never owned one.

Those are not the only games that have a mac version... More and more games have mac versions that run native. That doesn't even count those that you can run under VMware which will run perfect...

From the looks of things the Mac has almost as many games as the PC. I'd rather have a smaller list of good games than a larger list that are mostly shit. I'm not saying all these games are good but I do see a pretty good selection that will probably grow in time. But from that list alone (I'm not even going to bother counting them all) it looks to at least be 100 or so.

Exactly, some of the best games around will run perfectly on a Mac. People still think of Mac as they used to be before they went with Intel. Games are not PC only.

@PicoDeath; believe me as spending that much on my iMac it is MORE then worth it. Granted I actually work from my iMac but even if I didn't and only used it for gaming/browsing I would still consider getting it. My wife does nothing but school classes online and MySpace and we are spending more then that for her MacBook Pro. The OS and apps and features are worth that price which is why more and more people are buying Macs.
