@PicoDeath; believe me as spending that much on my iMac it is MORE then worth it. Granted I actually work from my iMac but even if I didn't and only used it for gaming/browsing I would still consider getting it. My wife does nothing but school classes online and MySpace and we are spending more then that for her MacBook Pro. The OS and apps and features are worth that price which is why more and more people are buying Macs.
I don't understand how paying like more $1400 just for a mac is worth it, when you can get the same specs WAYYY cheap. An OS isn't worth that much.

Macs really are overrated, PC and Mac should just have makeup sex already and combine to form "TrendIc0: home of the stylishly practical computer"

Dude, haven't you heard of Boot Camp? For real, its one of the reasons I'm actually considering a Mac for college next year - I love Macs but I couldn't part with my games. But what do you know, you can just dual boot Windows!

Boot Camp is nice but VMware is much better for me. Boot Camp requires you to restart to switch between OS X and Windows but VMware allows you to run Windows inside of OS X.

I like when Mac users are like "ohh well we can run bla bla bla with boot camp".

This means you are booting up WINDOWS, on a MAC, so you are actually back to using WINDOWS, not OS X.

I have yet to see someone find out a way to run OS X on a PC machine, because it is simply un-needed.

Boot Camp/VMware are there so you can easily move away from Windows. It is also for those who work on Windows at work but prefer Mac at home. Personally I only load up Windows when I need to browser test in IE6 & 7. There is nothing on Windows that I would need.

The beauty of VMware is that yes you are able to run Windows only apps (like those if your job is Windows machines only) but you still have the great features and look of Mac OSX. Yes, you are using Windows but in OSX environment instead of Windows which makes all the difference.

For awhile you have been able to run OS X on a PC Machine; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OSx86 I know a lot of design/development firms that have a good mix of Macs and Hackintoshs which work perfect. Since Apple made the switch to Intel there has been no problem running OS X on a PC. So, that it is simply un-needed is just incorrect.

My point is I see mac users all the time booting up windows or VMFware to do something they need. But I have never seen anyone boot up OS X on a windows machine because they need something.

I can see your point but it is mainly because Windows users have not used a Mac before and don't know the power of OS X or the apps available on it. There is no better code editor then TextMate on OS X. CSSEdit is also the best css editor around and is OS X. I could list a hundred apps that are OS X only that I could not give up. Now I used Windows for years and never knew of these apps so I didn't need OS X but now that I have used them, I could not go back to Notepad++ or FileZilla or any of those.

I hate it when PC users assume Windows = a PC. Windows is just an operating system. I'm talking about Macs here as hardware.

Also for gaming I wouldn't want Windows running at the same time as MacOS since that would steal resources.
