From what I saw of the demo vid, it looks very promising and surprisingly polished. The only thing that really looks like it might need work are the graphics, which still look good for an RTS (not Starcraft II good but w/e). Also the only thing that I think will disappoint me about that game is that I won't be able to play as the flood (though they're still confirmed for the campaign which will be interesting.)

if i had to pick one i would say homeworld big epic space battles and a good story and the graphics are still alright today

if i could choose more than one then
red alert 2 - great on a network sesson its simple yet you can do shit loads in the way of strategey
starcraft - each team is perfectly balenced thats if you can survive the harvester rush that dicks do online
company of heroes - one of my favorites just great fun to play the best rts game made recently
world in conflict - great sngle player and multiplayer is great espically when you get a 8 on 8 i stick with the infantry and hide in the tree line but thats me
tottal war games - i carnt leave these out i once conquerd egypt with sctland

I like Supreme Commander, it has a certain Mech Warrior feel too it. However, it lacks civilian structures and cities etc which I quite like.

Therefore, I'll say the best RTS game is RA2 + YR. But the C&C saga generally owns.

I also like Empire Earth I and II, but III isn't quite as good as I had expected it to be.

HALO WARS gunna be awesome guys. made by Ensemble Studios the guys who made Age of Empires so it's gunna be good.

Don't know much about halo.

I know that sounds really sad in a gaming forum, but I just never got into it. I'm all for an RTS though, my favourite game genre.
