I like the new album because it isn't boring like the old ones, and they dont indulge themselves in too many super long guitar noodly songs. I don't aways care for the vocals, but its good.

yeah, TONS more. the vocals are pretty spazzed out though, so I can't listen to a lot at once. just go to their myspace, I'm sure there are tracks up to check out.

The only Mars Volta album I physically own is Deloused in the Comatorium.
The album isn't that consistent, but it's still my favorite. It's just one explosion of creativity after another.
I believe it's also their only album produced by Rick Rubin. You can't go wrong there.
And yes, their songs got long, but they never got boring IMO.
