There has been nothing confirmed but a lot of people are already in talks for a sequel including the author who it looks like sold the sequel rights to WB already as with the huge box office numbers and future DVD sales, there is little doubt that there will be a sequel. I doubt Will Smith will return as he has stated several times a sequel has to be really great for him to consider it (think MIB) and the screenwriter wants to move forward with a sequel set a decade in the future.

So, confirmation or not with several people wanting to make the sequel and the rights already being sold and the huge box office numbers, if DVD sales continue the success then I don't see them passing on it. After all its all about money for them.

Yea, I heard WB bought the rights.

And I hope Will doesn't return, that would make no sense. He blew himself up, that's the end of him. If they brought him back and said he somehow survived, that would be bad.

But what about the woman and the kid ( Cant remember there names), they are still alive and they have a cure.
The movie made you think about what you would do in the situation, and I really liked that.

A sequal will be alright, but not if smith's still alive lol. Then again I doubt it will be even good going from one big actor to another.. doesn't seem right.

That movie died with the dog....
and I have it on good knowledge that the book was miles away from that movie gotta commend Smith for carrying the movie and doing a good job but really was shit for the most part.

No survivors. We don't need a amazingly happy ending in all movies. Cloverfield for example. Everyone dies. Which is how it would be if a virus infect the entire planet.

As far as him dieing, didn't bother me. Nade just went off too fast. They build suspense only to have it blow up instantly without any build to the actual death.

The entire ending part with the girls voice seemed pooped out at the last minute.

Decent movie, shit ending. And the plot holes, oh my.

^ Yep, I wanted it to go on a little longer before ending. If he died at the docks, it would've been a little short.

Example of the 'bad' ending is Dawn of the Dead Remake, kinda lets you make up your own decision, pretty sure they all died.
