But I have to say I like the dark gritty feel of the new batman filmss much more than the old ones. But I'm not a fan of comic books, so that may be why.
I also agree about making him the villain. Didn't like the road they took it.
And yeah, lol. Each time something happened I was just like, "Ok let me guess, Joker gets away, kills someone."
I got a little bored of sitting there towards the end. And I saw There Will Be Blood in theaters which is 2:45. With hardly any action, but loved every second of it. And didn't even feel like 3 hours. The new batman just got repetitive.

Tim Burton's first Batman film is probably the best in my opinion, though I'm hardly a connoisseur of the Batman mythos - I've never read a comic book in my life.
Joel Schumacher's two Batman films ('Batman Forever' and 'Batman & Robin') were utterly shocking. The first was okay for kids, with its bright colours and Jim Carrey villain, but the latter was an utter travesty - literally one of the worst films I've ever seen.
I haven't seen Batman Begins yet, but I have the DVD somewhere.
As for 'There Will Be Blood', I watched it until about half way through, and I think I fell asleep. Not due to boredom - rather extreme tiredness due to neglecting university assignments until the last minute. I'll give it another chance sometime, but I really can't remember anything particularly positive about the first half - certainly nothing worth an oscar nomination.
