Illusionist vs. Prestige

If you haven't seen both get the fuck out of my face and do so now, or be faced with spoilers and whine to your mother for the rest of your life.

Which had a better twist?
Which had better acting?
Which was better overall?

Fuck my life Prestige had quite an ending, the twins, my god shit explained everything that was fucked and confusing to that point.. movies like that make me wanna become a screenwriter..

Norton in the Illusionist I think beats Bale and Jackman, and Biel beats Johanson. Her magnificent ass really shows itself in the last couple of minutes, she finally won me over.


Really hard deciding which is better, but I think I prefer the Illusionist, don't really know why..

I couldn't get into Prestige but illusionist is amazing HOWEVER... I'm confused and think they messed up.

You know when she's found in the swamp? They cart her off.. later when they reveal the twist he gives her some medicine and she wakes up... So she wasn't carted off? I don't think they thought this well.

btw, real star in the Illusionist was Paul Giamatti the inspector(?)

Either way, both films were sick, but I prefer the Prestige a little bit, (Fav. Actors and Director)

I liked Illusionist more for not turning into some Sfi-Fi bullshit.

But pretending Prestige actually wanted to be Sfi-Fi bullshit, it was pretty darn good.

Overall, I liked the feel of Illusionist more. But Prestige was also quite enjoyable.

Yeah he Giamatti was great.

You know, it was really hard for me to decide which movie is better because I do feel that as a movie Prestige was better but for some reason I liked Illusionist more, perhaps for deeper more personal reasons..

I liked the Prestige more, because some of the "magic" they did in Illusionist (aka CG) was pretty dumb and unrealistic. Seriously, the plant trick? If you're going to do something like that, at least TRY to construct it before you cg it. Compare that to Prestige's "disappearing" dove trick and Prestige does a lot better realistically.

But I do agree, Biel any hour of any day.

Except for the fact that I watched both films with a sort of professional illusionist and he stated that the magic in The Illusionist was way better performed than The Prestige.

Now I don't know a lot about magic, but I tend to believe him.
