I have to say I agree with TJ. I'm getting pretty pissed when consoles and handhelds come with crap I already have. Like was it necessary for my PSP to double as a music player? The thing is bulky as hell and would scratch or break if I ever tried using it as a music player. Yet I think I remember that being a Sony selling point. I also don't see the point in a web browser for the PSP or DS unless you're really desperate you couldn't wait until home, bust out a lap top, or something.

I'm kinda regretting buying my PSP now. It's boring me already. I only bought it to play FFVII: Crisis Core. I need to start remembering that FF games aren't what they used to be!

I did get FFVII and FFIX on it though. FFVIII doesn't work :-( Booo...

But back to this topic... really, what is the point? If the older PSPs actually play the new games, there's no incentive to buy a new one. I'm not suggesting they bring out a new handheld console altogether, but actually spend some of the money wasted on these new polished up ones on decent new games to generate sales of the existing machines.

I think the DS proves that it's not the console that has to be powerful, but the wide selection of games. Sony is starting to lose touch with the market, which is a shame considering the success of the PS1 & 2. I really want a PS3, but I don't want to be lumbered with an overpriced brick. I'm starting to think I may as well get a 360, especially considering Sony has lost exclusivity on the main FF series.
