The only way they'll WOW me is if they annoucene the next GTA is a ps3 exclusive, along with Mafia 2 and Gears of war... else I'm going to be depressed as hell for buying the console(it's build quality is much better, but it needs the games to back it up!!).

Well, they better come up with something or else we the gamers will suffer greatly. I don't care if you're the biggest M$ fanboy around, you (not you, just speaking in general terms) will not benefit if M$ dominates the market. I don't think I need to explain why competition is a very important thing. I like my PS3 quite a bit but Sony needs to give me a reason to love it. Better, more reliable hardware, free online, no extra charges for shit that should be free or come with the console, blu ray player, etc. Good stuff but as you said, the games need to back it up for them to keep to up. Afterall, most of us buy game consoles for, you know, the games.

Though, outside of Gears 2 (which will be ported to PC eventually won't it?) there aren't too many titles that interest me for the 360. However it's the excellent online and exclusive DLC that makes multiplat games more appealing for the 360.

Oh I understand why we need competition, but it just seems sony is failing hard.. they're biggest advantage for me was that they had a loyal RPG fanbase. I didn't actually beleive FF would come to the 360, due to the loyalty of the older games. Not only that but star ocean 4 is now a 360 exclusive, I've never played them before but it looks amazing.

The 360 still has some better exclusives, fable 2, gow2, star ocean 4 etc.

Loyalty means jack when the the guy's competition hands you a big old check. Money makes the world go round and M$ has a lot more of it.

SO4 will inevitably come out on the PS3 and M$'s aren't exclusive for me since I'll just pick them up for the PC but for someone who only plays or would rather play them on a console I can see your point... in that there isn't much point in owning a PS3 if you already have a PS3 and existing exclusives don't excite you (and you don't need a BD player). At the very least I would wait until tomorrow for Sony's conference before you run off and sell your PS3. lol

Well it won't sell that quick, will need to put it in the local papers and try and get some profit off it(very likely). SO4 will roughly a year later I think, to long to wait imo.
