I saw this before, the new Duke Nukem Forever trailers was uploaded in HD on youtube, it looked nice.

Of course not as good as real HD video upload sites, but for youtube, damn.

And I'm pissed that stage6 is closing/closed.

Yeah, stage6 was the absolute best quality. Probably cost too much to maintain the servers though...

First you ask for companies to get exclusive ad space, to help pay for servers. Then if you get really desperate you ask for donations.

The problem is stage6 was a little ahead of its time with what they wanted to do and they have already lost a lot of money and just can't keep it going. If it was a startup with the same purpose today it might last but it has just lost so much money in the past that it would be hard to make it up now. The problem was/is that media companies have been slow to jump on board. Not only with digital downloads but with streaming as well. They are coming around now but they also want to handle their own streaming/downloading and their own distribution of the content which is where stage6 had a problem. But as others who were ahead of their time (Dreamcast?) they won't live to their full potential.

NOOOO I was watching High Definition One Piece on Stage6.... that was the ONLY place it existed.

Still, Youtube doesnt help much because the copyright patrol dudes are active there.
