I'm not sure why Russia is so nervous. They're just defensive, not offensive missile systems aren't they?

I don't think they need them there really, reguarding Iran.. from what I've seen they've had 9 (I think) unexpected inspections reguarding the uranium situation and nothings been found which shows they're enriching uranium for nukes or plan on building nukes.

Iran is itching to fight us as much as we are them. It's almost like a second cold war, who knows if we'll actually go to war but there is a lot of tension and I guess we're starting to prep "in case" we do.

I think with Iraq oil was kind of an afterthought. Well, maybe not an afterthought, but I don't think it was the main reason, but if anything a contributing factor for going to war with Iraq. With Iran, right now it's just two little kids talking shit to each other and flexing their muscles. If we did go to war with Iran, I don't think it would be just for the oil, but I think oil would definitely be on our minds.

Anyway, according to that article, Russia proposed a joint missile defense system including them, the US, Europe and others but the US has been cold to the idea. That might be why they're nervous.

Well, they are building that thing right near russia and America is all over the world now with bases etc everywhere, I'd feel a little intimidated lol.

As for Iran, idk, I think something will happen and what the US should consider is that it won't be like how they stormed afgan/iraq. China has been selling them technology for along time and russia actually funds their nuclear plan, according to an article I found in asiatimes, putin said an attack on Iran is an attack on Russia.
