Digipaint, critique request.

What can I do to this? I am at a standpoint where I do not yet have the ability to work out why this doesn't look realistic.
How can i make it more real?

Hmm, very good. I think in order to make it a little more life-like is to add visible eyes(not sure if its unfinished or ment to be like that).

meant to be, they are in shadow. I suppose I could add a kind of twinkle to the eyes.

What I was hoping was a way to improve the skin texture as it still looks decidedly painted rather than realistic. I have added shadow and all that..... but what now?

Practice? I mean its not bad or anything but yeah, the more art you do the better it'll get.

Work at a larger resolution so you can add smaller details like stubble or hair, moles/zits, uneven skin tone, etc if you want to make it look more realistic. Also no matter how much shadow they're in, if you can see skin you can definitely see eyes.

Good facial structure though, it's just the details that make it realistic.

I cant, that is the largest resolution I can work at without it crashing.
I had to delete my c4d because my computer cant handle that at all.

I like it. Add detail closer to the center of the mouth but not all the way
