Went to 10 different stores today. Wii Fit is sold out everywhere.
Also notable; the Wii itself was sold out everywhere as well.

So frustrating! In one store, there was an entire wall devoted to practially all games that are coming out from now on with "RESERVE NOW!" stickers on them. I hate reserving; burocratic nonsense.
Why can't I just walk into a store and buy games anymore? Defeats the purpose of having stores, really. If I'd like to take the impersonal route, I would have bought the game via internet in the first place.

I always order off the internet these days, mostly because you can find the same product 25% cheaper. There's also a lot places to order from than in my town, so that's also another plus.

I'm with you man, I never pre-order and don't order offline. I hit up the stores when a game is out. And your right sometimes it is a pain to find one. I hit up about 9 different stores during a day for RS Vegas 2 and finally found it the next day going to my 3rd store.

I can agree with both - its nice to go and get a game from a store, I still do it reg' but when a killer title like GTA IV - or Wii Fit comes along then a pre-order is a must. I quite fancy Wii Fit...but after the hype has gone.

In the UK - online saves you quiet a bit. I have noticed in the US say that you don't save anything from online? for new releases anyhow? They are still cheaper than us after finding a deal online.

Wii Fit US - $89.99, UK £69.99...thats say $135!

Normally for us the games are the same price either way. Normally the online difference from online or stores is the bundles that they offer when bigger games come out for pre-ordering. Like Circuit City offers a $10 gift card if you pre-ordered GTA IV through them (so you technically get $10) but as for saving money, not really.

I tend to buy everything I can online. The people that know me here from other forums will testify to that fact that I can sniff out a bargain. I never pay retail price for anything.

I just sent quite a few people on my FL details on how to get 13 months Xbox Live for £23.99.

I personally don't care what price something is. If I want something and I think it is worth the retail price, I will buy it for that price.
