Your Greatest Earned Achievement

Believe it or not, achievements are supposed earned. So I figured why not make a topic for people to talk about their hardest/funnest/most hilariously earned achievements.

I can't really think of what my hardest earned achievement would be, but I know which was the funniest...

Me and CDR were playing PGR4. And in PGR4 when you join a ranked race with another person, you get put onto teams. So when we got into the race, it was me and CDR versus these two French douches.

And I gotta be honest, I suck at PGR4. But there is an achievement neither of us had, "1-2 Win - Have your team place 1st and 2nd in a ranked race". So basically if CDR got first, and I could pull off 2nd, we would get it.

So the race starts. One of the other team members is a total retard. He is about 6 seconds behind me. I could beat him, I knew I could beat him. But the other one was right on my ass. He had a bike too, so if he got ahead of me, he would smoke me.

CDR was in first, way ahead of all of us, so that wasn't a problem. I just had to get 2nd in order to get the achievement. And with the one driver nipping at my heels, CDR hatches a plan...

The plan is : he falls back, lets me go ahead, and he hits the bike. Seems pretty basic, but I was not aware of the pure hilariousness that would soon reveal itself on this evening of xbox live...

On the 3rd lap, he slams the breaks, I pass, the biker hits CDR's backend, flys over the hood. Now we laugh somewhat. But we also kind of saw that coming, so we really didn't think it was that funny.

Now it's the final lap, and the bike is on my ass again, we are so close to the finish line. CDR slows to almost a halt, I fly by, and as I look up in my rearview mirror, I see CDR whip the wheel all the way to the left, slam into the biker, and crush his entire body and bike up against the wall. Sending the driver flying through the sky.

Hysterical laughter begins.

We finish the race, achievement unlocked.

I did like the grub achievement too though, wish you hadn't gotten the gnome one. Cause I really can't be fucked.

Hehe, I can't recall them all but the MOH airbourne where you kick someone in the face on multiplayer was good.

Mine would be in Burnout Paradise trying to do the Power (Parallel) Parking with 100%. I had just finished a Marked Man with the Hunter car. I had been working on double barrel roles, jumps, flat spins, etc and figured why not do some Power Parking. I find a road with some parked cars and do my first one which ended up as 94%. I thought, well that was kinda easy I'll go ahead and get a 100% and unlock that achievement. I spend another 30 mins and get every percent between 67 and 99 but no 100%. So, I figured time to move on. I go change my car to a turbo class car as after the marked man there is a new car that is driving around that I have to take down to unlock it. So, I'm driving around waiting for it. It flies by me going the other direction. I hit the gas, e-brake spin around and barely miss these two parked cars. I stop for a minute because I didn't see which way he turned. I see Power Parking 100% and achievement unlocked. After 30 mins of power parking I ended up getting the achievement without even noticing that I parked just perfect between those two cars. If I would have seen the car I wouldn't have came to a complete stop and wouldn't have gotten it.

I don't give a fuck. If you wanna get it I will play through it again with the gnome. I love that game.

i was glad to be done with the gnome achieve in orange box. him falling out of the car every ten feet when the hunter chopper was gunning me down was frustrating!

off the top of my head i can not recall any that made me really proud or excited.
maybe any one that completed a 1000/1000. those are always sweet.

Getting the Orange box acheivment for savign the village without loosing a single building on hard setting was so hectic that it has to be my most worthy one to date.

i didnt even try that one. seemed too difficult. do you need to keep the car with you at ALL times?

Yep, the only way I did it was to keep my rack full of bombs and make sure you dont waste your time getting right underneath the things before launching the bomb because then you start to waste time on the hunters.
I ignores the hunters and tried to catapult the bombs onto the stalkers from miles away and then used the sniper to detonate it and left the hunters to roam free. (or get run over by my car.)

However I have a new hardest acheivment. I got the overkill acheivment on matchmaking, lone wolves, Halo3 in a lobby of brigadiers on the swords gametype. That was tough because they all knew to use B instead of RT to attack faster also.
